Payments in national currency

According to the Decision no.158 of the Executive Committee of the NBM dated 16.06.2016, published in the Official Gazette no.184-192 of 01.07.2016, as from August 1, 2016, the Bank will receive for execution only new payment orders, which contain the IBAN (International Bank Account Number) code when making/receiving transfers in MDL. Both, the payer and the payee will be obliged to provide the IBAN code, and the Bank will not execute payment orders containing current accounts in a different format.
